Nitish Kumar is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Warrington College of Business, University of Florida. His research interests include financial intermediation, corporate finance, investment banking, and sustainable finance. He has published in leading academic journals including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, and Journal of Financial Intermediation. His work has received many research excellence awards, including the WFA Charles River Associate Award for Best Paper on Corporate Finance, the Yihong Xia Best Paper Award, and the best paper award from the Chicago Quantitative Alliance Academic Competition.
Prof. Kumar received a Ph.D. in Finance from the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago in 2015. Before that, he earned an MBA degree from Anderson School of Management, UCLA and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, India.
