Are you looking for a business-oriented internship or research position in the Spring 2022 semester and interested in developing your personal-professional skillsets? The Active Learning Program (ALP) is a 1-semester internship and research program that connects eager, well-trained undergraduate students with UF faculty and community mentors engaged in internship and research projects. Interested students apply to be enrolled in the 3-credit Active Learning Program IDS4940 course where they develop their professional skillsets in leadership, collaboration, and professional communication, while defining their personal-professional mission, values, and strengths.

Are you a student wanting to learn more about local volunteer opportunities? Visit the Volunteer Network Fair on Tuesday, September 14, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the Reitz Union Grand Ballroom. Visit with local community organizations like United Way of North Central Florida, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Humane Society of North Central Florida, and GRACE Marketplace. There will be dozens of organizations supporting topics like animal services, homelessness, food security, and more. This event is hosted by the UF David and Wanda Brown Center for Leadership and Service in partnership with the UF Office of Government and Community Relations.

This FREE weekend-long leadership program seeks to bring together students from diverse backgrounds to share about their life & campus experiences around particular identities & topics and train on how to create these spaces for more students.
In dialogue, students are partnered to be co-facilitators, and this is your opportunity to be trained in Intergroup Dialogue, a national model, through a new UF program: Changemakers’ Dialogue. You will leave the weekend as a fully certified Intergroup Dialogue Facilitator.

Gator Guest Services is searching for Fall Game Day Ambassadors who will play a vital role in the success of the fan experience at Gators athletic events, and serve as representatives of both the University of Florida and Florida Gators. They maintain the operational policies in place for all Gators athletic events, and serve as liaisons between Gator Boosters, fans, game day staff, and Athletic Department Personnel. As Gator Guest Services-Game Day Ambassadors, you will be the face of the Florida Gators throughout each of our home athletic events. You will be answering fan questions, finding solutions to fan problems, and making all fans feel both welcome and comfortable during athletic events. Game Day Ambassadors get the added bonus of earning paid experience in behind-the-scenes game-day execution, or using the opportunity for their field experience or practicum fulfillment. The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for Event Staff Representatives with strong customer service and communications skills to work in a high energy level environment during Gators athletic events. If chosen as a representative, you will be the face of the Florida Gators throughout each of our home athletic events answering fan questions, finding solutions to fan problems, and making all fans feel both welcome and comfortable while providing a championship experience for our Gator fans! This position will help gain invaluable experience while working in collegiate athletics and afford the opportunity to build a professional network. Site Leaders will have the opportunity to lead Florida Alternative Breaks trips, Day of Service experiences, and local service opportunities for UF students. Students will be expected to lead at least one experience per semester. Leading a BCLS Service experiences is a great way to develop transferrable skills, learn how to lead others, and have the experience that employers are looking for in UF graduates.
