Leadership, Institutions, Mindsets and Behaviors (LIMB) Lab

Purpose. Our purpose is to conduct lab experiments that study what institutions and mindsets drive leadership behavior, for better or worse.

Method. We create simulated environments that carry the features of real-world leadership environments, both in business and politics. We randomly assign participants to play games in these environments with real money on the line. We measure their behavior, and draw inferences as to what parts of the environment caused the behaviors we observe.

Subject Recruitment. To participate in the lab experiments, please fill out a survey.

Leadership. T. Clark Durant is the Director of the LIMB Lab.

Research Priorities. Our current priority is exploring what conditions are most conducive to getting opposing political leaders to work together rather than to seek partisan gains and/or political survival.
